Dutch needs your help!  After not feeling well, we took him in for a battery of expensive tests.  He was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease.  He is going through a period of adjusting to his new meds, but it is our hope that he will soon be feeling better.  Oh, and he's looking for a family to love him...no matter what!  Please help by sponsoring him.

10/12/09 UPDATE:  Another ACTH test was administered by Dr. Anderson.  His cortisol level is still high.  He will remain on 60 mg Trilostane for another 3-4 weeks.  His gorging of water and urinating is decreasing..a good sign!  His energy level is pretty low, but he's going through a lot of changes with this regime.  He is such a sweet dog and is a real trooper.   Hang in there boy!! 

1/16/10 UPDATE:  Dutch is doing well on the Trilostane.  He seems to be improving some in fact.  He is such a sweet, quiet, happy boy!  He will be on these meds for the rest of his life.  The cost will be in the neighborhood of $70/month for his care.  Can you help us help him?  Here is a recent picture.  That shaved
area on his front leg is from many months ago.  In Cushing's dogs, one of the symptoms is hair loss and lack of hair regrowth.  We don't see significant hair loss, but any area that is shaved will not grow back.  Thank you so much to those who have donated for his care!
